Kiran Kumar Grandhi is the Chairman of Airports GMR Group, he was born in Rajam, Andhra Pradesh. He attended Osmania University and graduated in Commerce in 1996. He has over 9 years of rich experience in infrastructure industry and led various initiatives which were pivotal for growth of the GMR Group. These include the strategic tie-up with PSEG Global Inc. for Tanir Bavi Power Project, Life Insurance Joint Venture with ING and Vysya Bank, Joint Venture with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad for Hyderabad International Airport Project and tie-up with United Engineers of Malaysia for bidding the Golden Quadrilateral Project, Joint Venture with Fraport for Delhi International Airport and partnership with Limak for Sabiha Gokcen Airport at Istanbul, Turkey.

His contribution led to GMR Group bagging two of the annuity road projects with industry benchmark competitive rates and the selection of GMR Group as the preferred bidder (and subsequently as developer) for the development of the Hyderabad International Airport as well as for the Delhi International Airport. He has been instrumental in opening the first green-field airport in India on record time. As Chairman of Airport business and Member of the Group Holding Board, he oversees the entire Operations and Business Development of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd and Delhi International Airport.
